Its official, the new East Side School District has a name. The Canyons School Distinct has been chosen. The name was submitted by Nick Crawford a Brighton High Sophomore. Crawford took home a $1,125 scholarship for higher education.Way to go Nick. Last November the citizens on the East side of the Jordan School District voted to break away from the monstrous District. The new Canyons district comprises Cottonwood Heights, Sandy, Midvale, Alta and Draper.
