What a blast riding on the bus parade. We had about 6 or 7 school buses along with a fire truck, and about 30 motorcycle police officers giving escort. We drove through Cottonwood Heights, Midvale,  Sandy, and Draper hooting and a hollering, sirens going, horns honking and people waving from the buses.

It seemed like each area had supporters out with a “Welcome Canyons School District” banner. Crescent PTA had would looked like  a 100 kids lined up on the side of the road waving at us, that was really cool. Thanks Crescent PTA you guys rock.

Although it was hot and the seats were vinyl it was well worth it. I got to hang out with some great staff and you could feel the energy that was coming from these guys. I don’t think I ever felt that much energy or buzz coming from a school organization.

I put together a little slide show for you. Sorry for a couple of blurry shots, I am not a photographer, I am a real estate agent.

Stating with hanging around waiting for the parade to begin, a reporter interview a woman, the ribbon cutting, on the bus, people on the side of the road supporting us, to the cake. Speaking of “The Cake” it was just over 11 feet long, it was homemade and had over a half a dozen different types under the frosting Yummy.
