Cottonwood Heights Getting
Some Stimulus
The Cottonwood Heights intersection at 3000 East, 6200 South and the I-215 ramps is going to get a nice makeover. We are getting about $1.8 million dollars of federal stimulus money we are giving matching money of about $127,000. That is a nice set of our tax dollars coming back to us.
The median will divides the traffic on 6200 S will be modified to collect more cars in the left turning lanes for entering I-215 South/West, also there will be a triple turning lane from 3000 E onto 6200 S. This will hope move the traffic and make it far less dangerous. Currently there is a lot that goes on there. You have people coming from the East, the South all jockeying for one or two lanes that can be backed up.
This is good news for Cottonwood Heights residence, it will make the intersection safer and we are getting some of our money back.
